We can say that at this time poker is probably the hottest game in every casino. Most poker players prefer to play Texas Hold'em. The popularity of poker game does not look to end at some point, it continues to grow and improve.

Aside from poker at live casino, Texas Hold'em became popular in online games as well. The Internet has opened a new door for many poker players to experience the game in the comfort of their own homes with just a click of their mouse.

It's been years since poker invaded the Internet. Many hosts of poker have become successful in delivering poker to everyone's doorstep.

Poker began in the world of casino without solid proof of its forefather. However, many believe that this card game is a variation of many different games in the past rolled into one which is now called Poker.

There are some people who believe that the game of poker came from China around 900 A.D. Emperor Mu Tsung is the first person to introduce "domino cards" in the year 969 A.D., and this said to be the oldest poker in a different form.

And then some believe the game came from Germany where that game is called "Pochspiel". The rules and the name of Pochspiel and Poker have similarities.

A third theory believes poker came from India from a card game called "Ganjifa". This game consists of 96 playing cards.

A fourth and most believed theory says poker came from France with a French game named "Pogue". Pogue is a game from the 15th century which has 52 cards and with 4 suits. The game includes betting and bluffing as well.

From France, Pogue went to Canada and eventually to The United Sates in the 17th century. The popularity of this game increased in New Orleans in the 18th century.

From the name Pogue evolved many names like "Draw", "Stud" and finally became "Poker" in 1834 by Jonathan H. Green, a fan of this game. Jonathan H. Green was still a prisoner when he learned to like this game. After he got released from prison he went to the Mississippi River to play more poker. He became popular and good at this game.

Texas Hold'em converses with another story to where the game begun. Most people believe that the game began in Robstown Texas in the year 1900. The tournament begun in the year 1970 where it became more popular and arrived in Las Vegas where it grew.

With the birth of the Internet Poker's Texas Hold'em found its way there as well. From Las Vegas to every gambler's living room, poker has become so popular.
